Nail Art Designs: Pink Nail Ideas for Beginners

Hot pink is just one of those colors that brighten up any day of the week, and it's one of my favorites for nail art designs. These simple and easy designs are perfect for beginners, because they take only a few products and tools to complete. I've done video tutorials for a few of these and will include them, just in case you'd like to try some of these designs at home.
I used hot pink and silver polish for these designs, and added the detail with a black nail art striper. This was one of my first designs using scotch tape, and it came out rather well. The black design was unplanned and just 'happened' when I started. I've not quite decided whether it's a tree, but it does kind of resemble one! This design can be done in other colors as well. I think black white and silver might be an interesting variation on this one.

This French tip nail design in hot pink with decals and rhinestones was the inspiration for my very first nail art video. I used the same polish as for the pink and silver design and added decals from a set I bought on eBay. I added rhinestones to the ring fingers to add a little visual interest. This design also inspired one I did in lime green - which turned out to be one of my all-time favorites.
I adore French tip designs, and this pink one used the same polish as the two above. I painted the tip first and then added loose hexagon glitters before the polish dried completely. I stuck on a fimo flower and then placed a clear rhinestone in the middle to finish the design. Read my nail art tutorial for this design to see step-by-step pictures along with detailed instructions.

The design above was done in a different shade of pink with the whirls and flower in a slightly darker color. I received these as part of a two-way nail art pen set I bought online. The design itself is really easy, and I just painted the nail in one color and then added the whirls and flower with two lighter colors using a nail art striper and a set of dotting tools. I finished it off with a clear rhinestone in the center of the flower.
This is a nail art design in a much lighter pink with dark pink hearts and dots, but it is still really simple to do. I used a pearlescent light pink nail polish and added the hearts using a darker two-way nail art pen. I added the dots in last using a set of dotting tools.
This design is perfect for a bride, but can be worn for just about any occasion. I used the same light pink pearlescent nail polish and added the whirls and dots using a white striper and dotting tools. I added the clear rhinestone for a little visual interest and to glam up the design a little. This easy design will work just as well on short nails.
These simple and easy nail art designs look great and are different enough to get lots of attention! Once you have the basic nail art tools and a little spare time, it's easy to create really interesting and eye-catching designs. You won't need to visit a salon again to get gorgeous nails, and purchasing the products online is a lot cheaper than having a professional work on your nails. As an added bonus, you'll have everything you need to fix any chips as and when they happen.
